My services at a glance

About me
Originally from Los Angeles, I’ve called Kristiansand home since 2013. With credentials in Family Therapy from the University of Agder and a Master’s in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies, I’m passionate about exploring what makes us humans tick. My work with families and couples is shaped by my years of living in Spain, France, and Norway, and by learning the languages and cultures of each. I strive to help individuals and families create meaningful relationships and better understand themselves in the contexts they live in.
How can couples therapy help?
Couples therapy is a space where you and your partner can gain a better understanding of each other, and get support in reconnecting. Together we can explore unwanted relationship patterns, misunderstandings, and painful experiences or emotions. I work alongside you to build more openness, trust, and healthy attachment.

Some of the topics you might wish to explore together include:
-
A desire to strengthen and nurture your relationship
-
Communication difficulties or recurring conflicts
-
Jealousy and infidelity
-
Sexuality and intimacy
-
Life crises that affect the relationship
-
Questions about separation or how to co-parent well
-
Challenges that arise when there are more than two people in the relationship
-
Navigating blended families and "yours and my" children
How can family therapy help?
In family therapy, I help you strengthen the relationships within your family. Together, we explore how you affect one another and how patterns of communication can be shifted to make everyday life easier for everyone. Our goal isn't to figure out who is right or wrong, but to foster understanding and cooperation for better health and well-being.
Some of the issues you might wish to explore include:
-
Disagreements and conflicts within the family
-
Challenges in the parent–child relationship
-
Relationship difficulties between different generations
-
Major family transitions, like becoming parents, forming a stepfamily, separation or divorce, or navigating loss
-
Illness that affects family dynamics
-
Cultural differences that may create tension or misunderstanding
What is parenting support, and how can it help?
Parent support is a service for parents who want to strengthen their skills and confidence as caregivers. It may involve gaining a better understanding of your child’s needs, developing healthy communication patterns, managing challenging behavior, or simply feeling more secure in your role as a parent.

Some of the aspects of parenting you can get support with include:
-
Parenting practices, household rules, and setting healthy boundaries
-
Co‑parenting—before, during, or after a separation
-
Challenges in the parent–child relationship
-
Adapting to a new parenting role after a change in custody

Consensual non-monogamy and open relationships
I offer affirming, non-judgmental couples and relationship therapy for individuals and partners practicing consensual non-monogamy (CNM), including those in polyamorous, open, or ethically non-monogamous relationships.
